Spongebob Theme Song Lyrics In Latin

Spongebob Theme Song Lyrics In Latin

So I've translated the Spongebob theme song lyrics into Latin - If you pronounce words in the right way, adjusting the stress to fit the rhythm, it kind of works (at least some of it) if you want to sing along to the actual tune. For the actual name, I've made up the word 'Quadribracatus', literally meaning 'Square-panted' :) The name gets far too long if you try to get the 'Spongebob' in there as well. The brackets in the line: "Cadit(e) in steg(am) et agit(e) ut piscis" are elisions - that way the line has a few less syllables and is closer to the original rhythm (see if you can say that line quickly!)

Feel free to make suggestions to make it closer to the rhythm/sound of the English.

Parati, liberi?

Ita vero, dux!

Vos non audire possum!

Ita vero, dux!

O… Quis in ananasa submarina habitat?

Quadribracatus!

Quam bibulus et fulvus et cavus est!

Quadribracatus!

Si nugas nauticas desideratis…

Quadribracatus!

Cadit(e) in steg(am) et agit(e) ut piscis!

Quadribracatus!

Parati?

Quadribracatus!

Quadribracatus!

Quadribracatus!

Quadribracatus…!
